Museum dedicated to the history of medicine and medical instruments, houses a beautiful collection of anatomical waxes

Two museums dedicated to the history of medicine and medical instruments occupy the Viguerie wing of the Hôtel Dieu St-Jacques, a former medieval hospital, housing the administrative centre of Toulouse University Hospital and the European Institute of Telemedicine. Illustration of 7 centuries of history by more than 3,000 objects from the collections ofDr André Gaulle or Pr Jean Charles Auvergnat, from donations and private deposits. Beautiful collection of anatomical waxes.

We visited on a Thursday. It was quiet. The reason I have given 3stars is because none of the explanation cards has any English. That’s my own fault for not learning another language. There’s a lot of medical equipment on display. Probably spent a hour there. No actual tickets to buy. There is a donation dish.
