The Soupetard market is one of the youngest markets in the city. The city hall of Toulouse set it up with the aim of revitalizing a district which, to be peaceful, lacks commercial activity. It therefore takes place on rue Louis-Plana, in a recently developed car park, facing a few local shops. It thus welcomes about twenty producers and traders who meet on Saturday mornings. Open-air food market, it gives priority to producers. It thus allows the inhabitants of the district to get their supplies on the spot from a butcher, a poultry seller, a fishmonger, market gardeners, a baker, a cheese maker and even a florist.
