VALENTINE ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE
This large villa of the Constantinian period is the property of Nymfius, an important character of the city of Valentine.
At the place called Arnesp, archaeological excavations have revealed the presence of a large Gallo-Roman villa, dating from the Constantinian period (first third of the 4th century). The name of the owner of the villa is known to us by his epitaph kept in the Saint-Raymond museum in Toulouse. His name was Nymfius and he was an important figure in his city. All around: temple, pre-Romanesque and Romanesque church, necropolis evoke a distant and unknown past. Make an appointment for a visit.
