CHÂTEAU DU SENDAT
Château with impressive towers in the commune of La Réunion, one of the architectural jewels of the Lot-et-Garonne.
This château, visible from the road but not open to the public, impresses with its numerous towers. Considered one of the architectural jewels of Lot-et-Garonne, this building was owned by the Maubourguet family and then by the Lemoîne family for almost a century. According to tradition, its origins date back to the 11th century, but more likely to the 13th or 14th century. Château du Sendat was restored by Viollet-le-Duc rival Félix Duban in the mid-19th century. Although a landmark in the local landscape, it remains privately owned.
