FESTIVAL D’ANÈRES (65)
For more than twenty years, the challenge has always been the same: to gather 300 spectators per session in a small village with only 180 inhabitants! Size is of little importance, only the quality of the programming and the atmosphere, which is inevitably present, matter. Anères is the capital of silent cinema and the figures are happy to tell it: more than 420 silent films, long or short, have been screened since the festival's creation. Accompanied by 215 different musicians, these screenings are rare moments that will bring you back into contact with a cinematographic genre that directly addresses your emotions. And, believe us, there will be many of them, with a festival hall transformed for the occasion into a screening space that is not unlike those of the golden age of the genre! This beautiful event is unlike any other, both in its concept and its particular atmosphere, we love composers who interpret and accompany with their talent images of yesteryear. There is nothing pretentious about these meetings, which according to their organizers are aimed at lovers of "la péloche et de la partoche"!
