Around the historical figure of Bernard Palissy, the museum highlights the works of contemporary ceramic artists.
In the heart of the hamlet of Saint-Avit, the museum revisits the history of ceramics and the life of Bernard Palissy, a native of the region and a great Renaissance spirit. Beyond its collection of contemporary ceramics, the museum is a place of exchange and interaction. Each year, an exhibition is honored. The 2023 exhibition is entitled "Terres Sigilées", from Roman Gaul to contemporary artists. Since 1985, a large pottery fair is organized in the village on the second Sunday of August and presents the works of many artists.
