MAISON DU PASTORALISME
It is both a tool for agricultural and pastoral development and a tool for discovering the agropastoral practices of the Hautes-Pyrénées. Under its slate roof, the House of Pastoralism offers a scenographic space on this millennial activity, whose different forms you can discover throughout the world and over time. The visit has been thought as a high mountain path and is done uphill, with a short stop on a belvedere with a breathtaking panorama. Through documents, panels and models, you will understand the stakes of this trade but also the shearing of sheep or the making of bells. Photos and watercolours are also on the site, related to the mountains and pastoralism, of course! Reports and documentaries are screened in order to better identify current problems and issues. In the shop, fill up on the gourmet specialities of the producers of the Aure and Louron valleys.
