OPTIMUM
For more than 30 years, Optimum has been manufacturing standard and custom-made cupboards. It is the European leader in closet doors.
History. Mr. Guerin founded the company in 1981, following an idea imported from the United States. He developed his company specialized in closet doors until 1991. The company then joined the Parisot group and developed an efficient tool for the mass production of standard "ready-to-use" cupboard doors, alongside the custom manufacturing activity. The company also markets storage ranges.
In 2006, the French group GMS Investissements, based in Grenoble, bought Optimum from the Parisot group and set up a new team to ensure the company's industrial and commercial development, under the Optimum brand for GSB and Sifisa for trading. In the following years, the decorative range of products was expanded, technical innovations were introduced and the activity developed. The company is making significant efforts in terms of products and sales force to boost the custom door segment.
In 2010, Azulis Capital is developing an efficient tool for the mass production of standard "ready-to-use" cupboard doors, alongside the custom manufacturing activity. The company also markets storage ranges and acquires Optimum to support its development. The latter absorbed one of its competitors (Home Decors France), located near Lille, and created Optispace for this entity. This acquisition optimizes the European geographical coverage and broadens the product offer.
The products. Custom-made facades, standard facades, fittings and dressing rooms, separation of parts and accessories.
Employment. Optimum has 230 employees and manufactures 1.6 million doors per year for a turnover of 60 million euros per year.
