CORK AND STOPPER MUSEUM
A unique museum dedicated to a former President of the Republic, a local child, and to the local history of cork.
The Musée du Liège et du Bouchon in Mézin recounts the life of President Armand Fallières (1841-1931), a native of the town, and the history of an activity that left its mark on the Albret region: the exploitation of cork oak and the cork industry. Awarded the "Musée de France" label, the site boasts a superb collection of tools, machines and photographs, all bearing witness to the know-how, technical developments and uses of cork.
