Renaissance castle built from 1525 to 1535, it remains the western wing, the Gothic staircase, representations of Roman emperors
Galiot de Genouillac, a great French squire, had this castle built from 1525 to 1535. In the 18th century, the castle was abandoned by its owners and was used as a quarry - some houses in the village have some of its features. Of this Renaissance jewel which consisted of four wings, only the west wing remains today, a beautiful Gothic staircase, numerous representations of Roman emperors, Hercules and his works. To be seen: Lapidary museum, exhibition on Galiot de Genouillac and a set of monochrome paintings.

Dommage que le château ai été en parti détruit mais la dame de l’accueil raconte l’histoire avec une aisance très agréable
