MOIRAX PRIORY - NOTRE-DAME CHURCH
Romanesque priory at Moirax, one of the department's Cluniac sites, with a church listed as a historic monument.
Along with Saint-Maurin Abbey, it is one of the few Cluniac sites in the département. Construction began in the mid-11th century, and it took almost a century to complete the entire priory. Its Romanesque architecture is remarkably well preserved. Note the modillions on the façade and the capitals on the interior columns. Listed as a Monument Historique in 1846, the church's facade was renovated in 2018. A monument not to be missed during your stay in Lot-et-Garonne.
