In a superb house, the Savoyard inn offers an embarrassment of choice of tartiflettes, raclettes, fondues and cheeses.
After La Petite Auberge, Thomas and his wife have opened L'Auberge Savoyarde, just next door, in a superb half-timbered house in old Cahors. Cheese lovers will be spoilt for choice: tartiflettes, raclettes, fondues, with a wide variety of cheeses from comté to beaufort, including reblochon, morbier and even maroilles for a Tar'Chti'flette. For those who can stand it, you can start with a cheese or forest egg casserole, a crispy duck confit or an onion soup au gratin.
