Cloister in flamboyant Gothic style, with the Virgin of the Annunciation in her niche and the Holy Cap in the chapel.

The cloister of the Cathédrale Saint-Etienne in Cahors was built between 1493 and 1553, thanks to Bishop Antoine d'Alamand. In fact, it was he who obtained the financing from the chapter and called on the services of a workshop of sculptors who had already proved their worth in Carennac, in the north of the Lot, or in Cadouin, in the Dordogne. And it's fair to say they did a fine job! Even today, the cloister is a pleasant place to stroll and admire this architectural jewel, and occasionally hosts exhibitions. A must-see when visiting Cahors.

Extraordinaria. Catedral Románica con elementos góticos. No se cobra entrada para su visita, es junto con el puente Valentré los indispensables de la visita a Cahors.
