THE RUINS OF TAILLEFER

The ruins of Taillefer de Carennac, a enigma to explore.
The origin of the 13th century building remains enigmatic. A chapel dedicated to Notre-Dame can still be seen there. Built on a cliff (the Saint-Lazare rock) with a magnificent view of the Dordogne, they stand out from the height. To access them, it is recommended to park in the hamlet of Les Bourruts, next to the large oak tree. Take the track which goes down, tarred at the beginning, passing along the houses, then continue on 400 meters and at the crow's feet, take the hollow track between the high walls to reach the ruins.
