PRIORY CASTLE
This magnificent building, whose silhouette dominates the surroundings, has become an exhibition space.
The prieural castle and Saint-Géraud church form a remarkable architectural ensemble. A former Benedictine monastery whose church was built as early as the 11th century, it has survived the Wars of Religion and undergone numerous transformations. It is now used to host contemporary art exhibitions and concerts, with an emphasis on local artists. Summer 2024 will be an opportunity to discover the works of American painter-designer Alan Sanchez, who has settled in the Villeneuvois region. He will be succeeded in the autumn by Monflanquin painter Arlette Sandre.
