GOURDON TOWN HALL
An imposing architectural structure housing the city hall is located on the hillock next to the Saint-Pierre church
On the hillock next to the church of Saint-Pierre, there is an imposing architectural structure housing the town hall. Four adjoining buildings (13th, 16th and 17th c.), testify in one place to the history of Gourdonnais. The oldest part makes this town hall one of the oldest in France. In the basement we discover the cellar and the well which supplied the town hall. From this discovery, we learn about the existence of private wells still fed and present in most of the private houses located on the mound.
