Caves unique by their great beauty with twelve rooms more magical than the others.

The famous scientific biospeleologist Armand Viré, who has his own museum in Luzech for his work on dinosaur tracks, was also responsible for the discovery of the Lacave caves in 1902, in the cliffs bordering the Dordogne River, for their development and for opening them to the public. These caves are unique because of their great beauty but, since 1961, also because of their access: a small electric train climbs 400 meters into the rock to bring you to the heart of the hill, and parks in a very special station. On arrival, you will discover the Great Hall of Chaos: its name is frightening, but its acoustics are so exceptional that it allows extraordinary concerts to be held there during the summer.

Then begin the visit by discovering 12 rooms, each one more magical than the other. Numerous lakes and concretions take curious shapes. Admire the milky waterfall, the eccentrics, the Tarasque, the 3 Fates, the snow corridor, the room of the Black Lights. During the guided tour, you will be told extraordinary stories about a legendary dragon, a giant spider or an angel. Stop for a long time in the Great Dome, with its 60 meter height, or in the Mirage Room, which, through the reflection of its ceiling, offers the fantastic spectacle of a sunken city. You will go as far as the 2,000m2 Hall of Wonders and its bewitching spectacle of fireflies. Be warned, you will spend 1h30 of enchantment in the bowels of the earth.

Heureusement ????
