Historical urban palace, hosting the museum of Uxellodunum which contains a collection from the excavations of the Dordogne lotoise
Built between 1280 and 1330, the Palais de la Raymondie is an urban palace with four wings surrounding a vast central courtyard. Over the centuries, it has taken on a variety of roles, becoming the town hall during the French Revolution. Today, it houses the Musée d'Uxellodunum, with a permanent collection from excavations carried out in the Dordogne region of the Lot. The museum traces history from the Upper Paleolithic to the Gallo-Roman era, and includes the remains of Caesar's last battle at Uxellodunum in 51 BC.
