HUMPBACK WINDMILL
The mill was built in 1828 and remained in operation until the outbreak of the First World War
Built in 1828, the mill remained in operation until the outbreak of the First World War, and then occasionally until 1932. The miller's ingenuity ensured its continued existence: first powered by wind, it was later equipped with a locomobile, then a gas engine, before finally being abandoned. After more than ten years of restoration, it has been restored to its former glory. Situated on the outskirts of town, it can be reached by a short footpath.
