HÔTEL HENRY
Located in the heart of Puy-l'Evêque, the Hôtel Henry restaurant welcomes you to its recently renovated dining room or, on sunny days, on its pretty terrace, in the shade of a lime tree and the Virgin Vine Pergola. The place is quiet and relaxing thanks to the charming flowered garden. The traditional and quality cuisine will make you (re)discover the specialities of Quercy: the duck comes directly from the prestigious house Godard in Gourdon and the lamb of Quercy from a nearby farm. Favourites are Rossini tournedos with Madeira sauce and truffles, homemade cassoulet and Quercynoise ballad, a hearty salad that combines smoked duck breast fillets, gizzards, confit, cabécou (from Rocamadour, of course!) and semi-cooked homemade foie gras. The desserts are concocted by the chef according to his inspiration and especially the seasonal fruits. Its pear poached in Cahors wine with its ratafia sauce and its scoop of ice cream with milk flower is a delight!

One of the few places open for lunch in Puy-L'Eveque on the day we were there, this place did a very reasonably priced Menu de Jour. The food was simple, delicious and served by very nice staff. We had the duck......it was amazing! They also had a kids menu and chicken goujons were clearly freshly made. We had a little wait for our desserts, and did have to ask when they were coming. But I'd still recommend a visit.
