CHÂTEAU GAUTOUL
On the heights of Puy-L'Evêque, Château Gautoul exudes peace and refinement. The building, a 17th-century Carthusian monastery, lends itself to every dream: come and enjoy spacious, comfortable guest rooms, a chef's breakfast concocted with organic produce, and the swimming pool with pool house. The vineyard extends over 19 hectares, facing south, where each bunch of grapes gives the best of itself. The estate is in the process of converting to organic farming, and relies on the leading grape varieties of the Cahors appellation. A visit to the winery is a rare treat.
