Here, the monkeys welcome you in their forest: approach them like nowhere else, share a moment with them.
This 20-hectare forest is home to over 150 Barbary macaques (or magots), a protected species native to the mountains of Morocco and Algeria. The visit takes place amidst the free-ranging monkeys along a 1.3 km itinerary. Getting up close to the animals promises to be an emotional experience. You'll discover the way they live in groups, their games, their lifestyle, their habits and more. Animal feeders are on hand every 45 minutes. New: an educational trail will be introduced in 2024.

Opening time and information on THE MONKEY FOREST
Closed from November to March. Low season: open daily from 10am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm. High season: open daily from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm. May and June: closed at 6pm - 1st fortnight of September: closed at 5:30pm. Mid-September to mid-November: closed weekday mornings. Free admission for children under 5. Adults: €10 (reduced: €8.50). Children (aged 5 to 14): €6 (reduced: €5). Group (20 people): €7.50. Reduced rates for : Carte Sésame, Gîte de France, Passtime, Les Incontournables locaux. Vacation vouchers. Children welcome. On nous donne une poignée de pop-corn à l'entrée afin que l'on puisse l'offrir aux macaques comme friandise. C'est un moment privilégié.
On peut également assister aux séances de nourrissage.
C'est amusant, mais il faut néanmoins rester attentif, car ce sont des animaux chapardeurs qui n'hésitent pas à sauter sur votre dos ou votre bras pour vous dérober du pop corn.
