Elevators connecting the castle, Sanctuaries and City of Rocamadour, perfect for those who have difficulty climbing the stairs.

On this site, there are three levels: the castle above, the Sanctuaries below and the City below. To go from one level to the other, two lifts are available: the Inclined Lift and the Vertical Lift. The Inclined, which leaves every three minutes, takes you from the castle to the Sanctuaries. You have arrived at the historic heart of Rocamadour. The Vertical Lift takes you from the Sanctuaries to the medieval town. A good alternative for those who have difficulty climbing the steps! Good to know: twin tickets are available.

Originality
A good idea for access to the city center because it is forbidden to park on the outside of the city. The only stop is that there are two lifts and none goes down the parking lot in the city center. We have to take two and pay twice. The price is too excessive.

Si vous ne vous sentez pas le chemin de croix! prenez l’ascenseur qui monte au chateau! le deuxième n'est pas très utile! c'est un attrape nigaud!
Garder bien vos billets si vous avez un aller retour! car la guichetière vous le demandera au retour même si elle vous reconnais ( je peu vous dire qu'elle n'est pas sympa pour un brins alors mieux vos se tenir a carreaux)

Cet ascenseur n'a pour lui que son originalité. A 3,5€ l'aller retour jusqu'aux sanctuaires et 40 secondes la montée, c'est un peu cher payé. A réserver si on a des enfants en bas âge pour éviter les 240 marches de l'escalier des pèlerins.
