ROYAL PARK OF LA GARENNE
A royal park with long avenues and fountains, a witness to the life of the city in the Albret era, a must-see in Nérac.
Classified as a historic site in 1909, this park was created in the 16th century by the d'Albret family. Queen Margot was moved by the site, and added a new feature: the "3000 steps" alley running along the Baïse river to the village of Nazareth. Your stroll will be punctuated by fountains reminding you that in hot weather, this park knows how to be welcoming. Take the footbridge to the other bank of the Baïse, where you can admire the Pavillon des Bains du Roy and its garden. A lovely walk for families, especially on hot summer days.
