This mill was complementary to the Lamothe water mill in Césac
Rebuilt in 1813 to the same plans as the original mill at L'Arbre del Canou, the latter was moved by its owner, a miller, due to frequent lightning strikes that regularly damaged the structure. Complementary to the Lamothe water mill in Césac, it is located 7 km from Castelnau and is mentioned as early as the 17th century. Its identical reconstruction confirms its origins. Today, it belongs to the commune of Sainte-Alauzie and is open to visitors by appointment.
