LA TOUR DE MONTCUQ
Tower built in the centuries, the keep houses a spiral staircase whose terrace offers an exceptional view of the village
Erected in the 12th and 13th centuries, the Montcuq tower is an imposing rectangular keep measuring 12 by 8.50 metres, with a spiral staircase. This jewel of medieval architecture, listed as a Monument Historique since 1904, gives Montcuq its emblematic silhouette. During your visit, you can explore its four vaulted rooms, as well as three exhibitions: a permanent one on the village in the Middle Ages, one on Lot heritage, and another on Nino Ferrer. At the top, the fifth-floor terrace offers a view of the village and its surroundings.
