Do you want to discover an important local heritage site? The Louis Roque Distillery is the right place for you! A playful place where you will learn the art of distillation but also what the love for a territory can create. The whole history of the 19th and 20th centuries is mirrored by that of the Roque family, distillers from father to son since 1835. Set up in 1905 in Souillac by Louis, the distillery has been passed down in the family for 5 generations!
In this den of good taste and know-how, you can discover the magic of this alchemy, accompanied by a tour retracing the life of the place through photos, equipment - stills - accompanied by the passionate comments of its staff. In this museum with its warm colours, the copper of the stills rubs shoulders with the presses, congestions, filters and cauldrons. You will share the serene silence of the cellars where the brandies slowly mature in the old oak barrels. You will observe the staff filling, waxing and labelling the bottles by hand in the traditional way. After your visit, you can leave with a bottle for your treat or a gift. Indeed, the Roque distillery produces many spirits: its flagship speciality, the Vieille Prune, a whole range of carafes, aperitifs, liqueurs, creams and brandies, gift boxes, fruit in jars and even small sweets and condiments. A taste palette that we warmly recommend!
