This last battle, known as Uxellodunum, has long been the subject of debate as to its exact location. Seemed to be closed for demolition work. No signage if we could go anywhere else. Probably best to visit in summer.

Visite fort intéressante avec un guide passionnant qui a su mettre en miroir le contexte de l'époque avec notre période contemporaine. Très clair dans son discours et d'une grande culture historique- pas seulement de cette période- il a fait revivre cette bataille dans un cadre qui n'a pourtant rien de spectaculaire.
Un grand merci à cette équipe de bénévoles qui se mettent en quatre pour nous accueillir chaleureusement et mettre en valeur cet endroit peu connu. Une visite à recommander pour les ados et les adultes.

Nous avons eu l'occasion de visiter le site avec un excellent guide, passionné de son sujet. C'était très instructif et très complet. Cependant le site en lui-même n'est pas (encore?) mis en valeur par un circuit attrayant, qui pourrait même se prolonger sur le plateau pour les plus motivés. On annonce l'installation d'un centre d'interprétation, mais sans avancer de date... Dommage pour l'économie touristique de la région. En l'état, la visite avec un bon guide s'impose; aucun intérêt sans.
