OLD ALBY'S HOUSE
Typical house of the medieval period, one of the oldest houses of Albi located in the Castelnau district
This typical house from the medieval period - today the headquarters of the Association for the Safeguarding of Old Alby - is one of the oldest houses in the city. Located in the Castelnau district, it combines bricks and wood panelling and is characterized by its open-air attic or soleilhou (where, among other things, woad was dried), its half-timbering and its corbelling (a floor reserved for housing that overhangs the street to gain more space). It offers exhibitions and slide shows on the history of local life.
