Museum housed in Albi's Palais de la Berbie, with the world's largest collection of Toulouse-Lautrec works.

At the foot of Albi cathedral, the Palais de la Berbie dominates the Tarn with majesty. The Toulouse-Lautrec Museum was established in 1922 within the walls of this 12th century building, bringing together the most important collection of this Albigensian painter in the world. It houses more than 1,000 works, paintings, lithographs and drawings, as well as the 31 posters that made the artist famous. This exceptional collection retraces his entire work, from his youthful paintings to his final canvas, including his years in Montmartre.

Ne pas rater ce musée si vous passez dans la région . L'œuvre de Toulouse Lautrec vous emballera, tout comme sa vie vous surprendra. La bâtisse est intéressante aussi. Malheureusement les éclairages ne sont pas à la hauteur des œuvres exposées et la signalétique de l'expo est quasi inexistante

Un très beau musée avec, en plus de la collection Lautrec, des expositions temporaires très bien présentées. Situé dans une belle ville du Tarn, c'est l'occasion d'une chouette balade en Midi-Pyrénées!
Préférez le printemps à l'été qui y est très chaud...
