STADE PIERRE-ANTOINE
Founded initially by former students of the college of Castres in a café of Europe (Place Jean-Jaurès), the rugby section of the Castrais multi-lingual club was officially established in 1898. We have to wait until 1906 for the discipline to take off and the club finally sees the day.
From the 1920 s, Castres Olympic occupies the Olympic Stadium, located in the heart of the Bisséous district. Having taken the name of Pierre-Antoine, in memory of the master double champion of France in 1949 and 1950, the stadium has since been the possession of Castres Olympic. In 1989, the municipality acquired the land and renovated it to make it a forum worthy of its team. Over the years, there are improvements such as the 1 400-seat podium in 1993 or 1 532 places in 1999. Other works have since led to the 11 500-seat stadium, which makes Pierre-Antoine a strong place for French rugby. A fortress that opposing teams like to visit so much about fair play is recognized. On the other hand, the supporters are coming from the city centre by singing, with heart, a song that has existed since 2008 and is unanimous among supporters, players like leaders. CO higher then sounds in the stadium of the stadium, it is the sign that the Little Gris make good! A song taken in heart by the different groups of supporters. For in Castres, Castres Power (North Gallery), Olympian 81 (south galleries) are always ready to push their favorites.
Capacity: 11 500 places.
