ST. BENEDICT'S CATHEDRAL
Cathedral housing a fine collection of paintings by the Toulouse school and a Baroque ensemble in Castres.
Saint-Benoît Cathedral celebrated its 300th anniversary in 2018. It houses a collection of paintings from the Toulouse school of the 18th century, as well as a first-rate Baroque ensemble: altarpiece, high altar and baldachin. The old lady still has her Romanesque bell tower, on the other side of the street. This Romanesque tower is the only vestige of the former monastery built by the monks of Saint-Victor de Marseille. Since 1988, it has been the object of a rescue operation.
