Maison Raymond is one of the great institutions of Castres. Located opposite the Chamber of Commerce in the former slaughterhouse district, this superb butcher's shop and delicatessen is part of the city's history. Created more than a century and a half ago by the great-grandfather, it is today Arthur Raymond, representative of the fourth generation, who has taken over the torch alongside his father Dominique. Initially specialized in wholesale trade for the army, the establishment now devotes its activity to its expertise in the purchase and selection of live cattle from local producers (montagne Noire, haut Languedoc, Lauraguais, Réalmontais, or the breeding of André Raymond, the grandfather). The craftsmen work with beef, veal, lamb, poultry and pork, and have a delicatessen and delicatessen department.
