FÊTE DU ROMARIN DOURGNE
This event - often unknown to the general public - is one of the oldest traditional events in the region.
This event - often unknown to the general public - is one of the oldest traditional events in the region. For seven centuries now, the inhabitants of Dourgne and the surrounding area have been gathering around Rosemary for an exceptional day. As with its 719 previous editions, this festival starts with the opening of the medieval gourmet market, then continues with a parade, street entertainment and a country meal around rosemary. In the afternoon, it is the Pasetjada, i.e. the visit of the hamlets and abbeys by a procession of pedestrians, horsemen and carriages. Skits, songs and village dances in front of the abbeys of En Calcat and Ste Scholastique are also on the programme for this enriching and entertaining day.
