The birth of this remarkably long-lived château dates back to 1206. In the 16th century, the architect Daniel Specklin embellished it and, a century later, the building became a fortress of the Kingdom of France, before being remodeled once again by Vauban in the 19th century. During the 1870 war, the site was reduced to ruins, which served as a refuge during the bombing raids of the Second World War. In 1990, the château was restored with contemporary architectural features that are clearly identifiable today.

Le château mérite largement de le visiter.
C'était vraiment super ! Les acteurs/actrices ont bien joué le jeu et se sont super bien déguisés et maquillés.

Le château est impressionnant, très bien conservé et la visite est très documentée. Visite incontournable lors d’un passage dans la région.
