CHÂTEAU DE FOUCAUD
The castle of Foucaud, owned by the commune, is built on a plan of an Italian-style villa, the villa d'Este, as well as several other buildings forming a whole: a reading room, an orangery, old stables, a green theatre and a rose garden. The castle, with the park, is classified as a historical monument. Fully restored in 1995, it now houses the Gaillac Museum of Fine Arts which displays its permanent collection of 19th and 20th century paintings and sculptures and, in summer, a temporary exhibition of contemporary artists.
