RIVER GARDEN
Garden created to rehabilitate an industrial wasteland with spontaneous vegetation composed of buddleias, fig trees, impatiens...
At the foot of the medieval quarter, along the Dadou River and behind the Maison des métiers du cuir, landscape architects Eric Ossart and Arnaud Maurières created this garden to rehabilitate an industrial wasteland. On this plot of barely one hectare, a spontaneous vegetation composed of buddleias, fig trees, impatiens and various grasses had developed. The two landscape designers chose the theme of colonizing plants, whether local or exotic, as the main theme of their work, hence the nickname Garden of Bad Seeds.
