Museum presenting the traditional know-how of the textile industry from the century to the present day

In the buildings of the former Armengaud textile factory dating from 1880, this space presents the traditional know-how of the textile industry from the 19th century to the present day. We discover the production line, from the thread to the fabric. Demonstrations on sample frames and looms, old equipment still in operation, temporary exhibitions and creative workshops complete the tour through the discovery of weaving techniques from around the world.

Le musée, un lieu chargé d'histoire qui nous a permis de mieux comprendre cette industrie textile dans cette région. Tout est là pour appréhender le métier : les bâtiments d'une ancienne manufacture, des machines en état de fonctionnement, des chaînes de fabrication, des métiers à tisser, des échantillons de tissus. Magnifique.
Et surtout une équipe disponible, à votre écoute qui vous présente de façon très professionnelle et pédagogique les rouages de ce métier. Bravo à vous et surtout merci pour votre disponibilité.
Un lieu de culture et de mémoire qu'il faut absolument visiter.

This is a very great place to spend a day at! Even if it’s only a small museum it has lots of art and also you get to see how the wool is made! You can see and touch many diffirent fabrics and textures. At the end of the museum you can buy little souvenirs! Very cute museum 5/5
