LA PLACE DES HALLES
Triangular square, with century roofs on two sides and half-timbered houses on top
Since the Middle Ages, the Place des Halles has had a special place in the local heritage. Triangular in shape, it is home to 15th century covered marketplaces on two sides, above which stand beautiful half-timbered and corbelled houses dating from the 16th century. The district of the same name has an open-air theater, the result of the demolition of old houses that were in danger of collapsing, but from which the underground silos where crops were stored since medieval times have been preserved. The square has kept its old well in the center.
