A restaurant with traditional cuisine that you'll love for its rustic setting and lovely terrace overlooking the countryside.
Tucked away in the back streets of the pretty village of Puymiclan, "Le Vieux Faitout" serves, as its name suggests, traditional cuisine in the spirit of workers' restaurants. Its rustic setting is complemented by a lovely terrace with panoramic views over the fields. The menu includes a very decent buffet of starters (crudités, mixed salads, cold meats, cheeses), a classic main course (chicken thigh, sliced turkey à la forestière) and an equally classic dessert, such as caramel flan. A good old-fashioned meal for a very fair price.

Lors d'une sortie moto nous sommes arrivés à 8 motards, et je peux dire que tout était parfait je recommande à 200 %

Honest; unpretentious; incredible value for money......this restaurant is a gem! We have dined here for years... and often ask ourselves how this husband (he the chef) and wife team make any money God only knows.
The entree is a fulsome, fresh buffet. The simple 'plat' (main course) changes regularly, and the deserts are simple but home made.......in fact the whole meal is simple; honest; unpretentious; fulfilling and home made. For the price of a starter, 17 or so euros, in the nearby tourist town of Eymet, we can enjoy a complete 3 course meal with wine and coffee (October 2023). I really shouldn't be sharing this information as now we won't be able to get a table......:-)
