TOURISME IMAGINAIRE
An old bus station, an industrial wasteland, a cave, a housing bar in a city, but also a castle, a wool shop, a furniture company, a former pharmacy... The Mazametan structure Imaginary Tourism has the ability to detect magic in every corner of the territory. Since 2012, under the impetus of artist Fanny Baxter, she has been re-appropriating these places steeped in history and emotion. To bring the people of Tarn back to these neglected sites, away from traditional tourist circuits, the association uses all means of communication. Imaginary tourism involves artists "in situ", responsible for restoring life and movement to the place by creating a work, plastic or sound, adapted. This is followed by self-drive tours, bus tours, site to site tours, to encourage visitors to take a new look at this heritage that is both distant and familiar. Imaginary tourism also calls on experienced and passionate guides to give these local trips a historical dimension, certainly, but also sometimes poetic, playful and humorous. As the flagship products of Imaginary Tourism, these extraordinary events are repeated every year at the dawn of the summer season.
