Didactic museum to discover the history of the Cathars, with an exhibition tracing a religious and tragic page of the Occitan Middle Ages
This didactic museum is a real pole of discovery of the Cathar history. By wandering through its spaces, the visitor will have a clearer idea of the human dimension of the Cathar faith. On the ground floor, the residence of Admiral Fuzier, whose two salons reflect the lifestyle of the Protestant upper middle class of the 19th century, is accessible free of charge. On the first floor, an exhibition recounts a religious and tragic page of the Occitan Middle Ages on 300 m², based in particular on the traces left in the village of Hautpoul.
