PLANÈTE TARN - PLANETARIUM OBSERVATOIRE DE MONTREDON-LABESSONNIE
Planète Tarn proudly announces the colour: it is the "only professional astronomy animation site in the Tarn"! Managed by the association P.E.G.A.A.S.E. (Promotion Et Gestion des Activités Astronomiques, Scientifiques et Éducatives), this structure exists since 1993 and offers a wide range of activities related to astronomy, supervised by animators who are both pedagogical and friendly. There are several interesting activities to discover for the visiting astronomer during the school holidays: observation evenings from 9pm onwards and by reservation (by telephone or e-mail); a walk under the stars (7 km long, i.e. about 2 hours' walk, starting from the Montredon-Labessonnié tourist office at 8.30pm) every Monday and Friday evening during the summer holidays, during which astronomy and local history are combined; planetarium sessions and rocket construction workshops in July and August afternoons. The latter activity is ideal for children and teenagers.
