NORTH AFRICA MEMORIAL
Because the place sometimes recalled the Algerian Djébel to former soldiers from there, at the level of granite blocks or gorges, on the site of the Bazan dam, this monument was erected in 1989 in tribute to the veterans of North Africa. This place of national memory is also intended to receive the obituary lists from each French department and the former Overseas Territories in the ballot box. This is the importance of this place of memory! Each year, a ceremony takes place in June. It is also an archival centre; 2 562 documents are available from twenty-eight departments. It will serve as the future Conservatory of Memory.
