Museum presenting two centuries of industrial and social history, through models, evoking the era of the Company
Opened in 1995 by former workers of the metallurgical plant, in the building of the first hydroelectric power station, the museum brings to life two centuries of industrial and social history, through numerous animated models evoking the era of the Société des Hauts-Fourneaux, forges et aciéries du Saut-du-Tarn. The visit lasts about an hour and a half and ends with an audiovisual show featuring a giant 23-metre model simulating the spectacular flooding of the Tarn River. Numerous cultural events are scheduled there.
