Good value for money cuisine and authentic atmosphere in a charming restaurant in Sorèze.

Located in the former abbey's cobbler's shop, this charming restaurant is covered in wild ivy. With its exposed stonework, medieval beams and old posters, it seems to have come straight out of the Irish countryside or a Tolkien book. Its authentic atmosphere, between a bar and a country house, is a perfect match for the good food served at the table. On the menu: duck breast with porcini mushrooms, blood sausage and andouillettes, warm goat cheese salad with honey and many other delicacies. The quality-price ratio is very satisfactory.

From the museum abbey was closed between 12 and 14:00 we decided to lunch at this table, picturesque place and we were very pleasantly surprised by the basic menu that we have chosen and who was more than correct. The service is fast and discreet that happiness!! While outside the weather was so hot.
did you really eat?
today we had been for a family meal (20/30 people), we reserved for more than 4 days... Result: a mixed salad and nothing all: green salad, pieces of pâté, pieces of ham, lentils, pieces of French fry, pieces of omelette, carrots grated and perhaps other not identified things... tables which " nappe" (I do not know how to name that) covered with transparent plastic is torn and lets include a species of " feutre" fortunately, there was a set of paper table to hide misery and provide a semblance of hygiene!
The building is superb, magnificent setting, but dubious hygiene. If what is visible, i.e, is not clean, you wonder how must be the kitchens...
I would not even have put a star if that was possible!
