EARTHENWARE AND WATERWAY MUSEUM
Museum displaying over 600 pieces of old local earthenware, as well as ex-voto and models of the barge industry
Auvillar, one of France's most beautiful villages, is renowned for its earthenware. If you're passing through this Occitan gem, be sure to visit the Musée de la Faïence et de la Batellerie, or Musée du Vieil Auvillar. The museum exhibits over 600 pieces of old local earthenware, as well as ex-votos and models of the inland waterway industry. The museum is equipped with a loudspeaker system that broadcasts information on the history of the boats that once plied the Garonne.
