SAINT-PIERRE DE PERVILLAC CHURCH
Church whose nave and choir are decorated with superb wall paintings
This small hamlet is only known thanks to its Romanesque church with a single nave. There are superb wall paintings in the nave and choir representing the Last Supper, the virtues, the cavalcade of capital sins, purgatory, hell, with famous red devils and finally the Last Judgement. Dating from the end of the 15th century, they were covered with plaster in the 18th century and "rediscovered" in the 19th century. They have been classified as historical monuments since 1951, and the church since 1953.
