MONTAUBAN TOWN HALL
Montauban City Hall is part of the city's historic circle. From Notre-Dame Cathedral down to the Ingres Museum, you cannot miss this old private mansion dating from the late 18th century, once belonging to a prestigious family of the nobility of dress, the Alies. This massive building, elegantly restored around its beautiful rectangular courtyard, houses most of the municipal services, overlooking the Tarn river that flows quietly behind the building. A small alleyway leads to the imposing Carmelite temple, a witness to the Huguenot past (and present), and a panoramic elevator leads to the banks of the Tarn.
