CARMELITE GARDEN
A well-hidden garden featuring a small landscaped garden with vaulted galleries, brickwork, plants and a fountain
The Carmes cloister, well hidden behind the Municipaux parking lot, is a former convent dating from the early 17th century, which houses a small landscaped garden. Here, you can stroll beneath the rib-vaulted galleries, which drop down onto brick arches, or wander among the plants in the silence disturbed by the flow of a fountain. Refurbished in 2006 in the medieval tradition, the garden comprises four plots of medicinal, ornamental, vegetable and fruit plants. The building houses the Conservatoire municipal de musique et de danse.
